Monday Meeting topic: HF Propagation

Hi all,

I’ll be presenting the topic for Monday’s business meeting at the fire station.  I’m going to cover the ins and outs of HF propagation.  I’ll be covering theory, how to use and read ionograms, handy websites and what to expect in the coming years from solar cycle 24.

If you’ve ever wondered why the bands aren’t open when they should be, you’ll probably get some useful information from this presentation, so come on out!

73,

Michael/N5THL

Here’s one of my favorite propagation sites. I’ve noticed over the last few weeks that 20 mtrs opens up to europe right around sunset for a few minutes.
