URGENT Message from Joe, KARS President

December 28th, 2010 No comments

All,

Tonight we plan to have special visitors, Stan and Jackie Bryn who have traveled from New Mexico to visit the USS Texas, BB-35 to donate some radio equipment and to offer some restoration advice. It’s my understanding that Stan was active in helping with radio restoration on the USS Alabama and is prior Navy radio repair.

Marshall Dues will join them on BB-35 this afternoon where they will evaluate the current condition of the radio rooms and discuss restoration options with the ships managers, Marshall will take pictures.

The Bryn’s will return the Katy area for dinner this evening. After dinner we will try to have a small meeting at the Peet’s house with coffee and discuss all things radio.

All are welcome to join for dinner and/or for coffee.

Very Tentative times are;

Dinner locally between 6:30~8:00 (maybe China café Highland Knolls/Grand Parkway (east side feeder heading north just before the Episcopal Church).

Coffee at Peet’s between 8:00~9:30ish West on Highland Knolls from Grand Parkway, 3rd left “the Grove”, right in front of the gate, you will see my licenses plates.

Please RSVP to Joe Peet, email is best, joepeet1@yahoo.com or call my home number.

Thank you,

Joseph Peet
