The following from our NCS (Net Control Station) for tonight.
I have prepared the attached PowerPoint presentation for this evening’s net discussion. I will be on 147.200 at 1930 for our informal rag chew net. At 2000 I will go through the script and log all the net participants in.
Following roll call I will go over the PowerPoint presentation. Please bring up the attached Power Point presentation on your screen so that you will be able to follow the discussion. There will be time for questions and discussion. Remember the only stupid question is the one that did not get asked. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. No body is going to poke fun at you.

We conducted HAM test this past Saturday at WI-10 VFS at 9:00am. We had 3 participants – and they all passed Technician license. We now have 2 new HAMs in Houston, and 1 new HAM in Spring!

The KARS monthly meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of every month at 7:30PM at West I-10 Fire Station #4 on Franz Road, just east of Grand Parkway (99). That will be THIS Monday evening, Aug. 8th! Come join us!
It was a long hike to the top, but we made it. Made 21 contacts in about a half-hour of operating. Come on out to the metin on Monday for more info and pictures!
We’re steadily making our way to Guadalupe peak. Hope to be in the park by 6 pm. We should be on the summit by around 9 am – 10 am or so. Going to try 20m first, around 14.330. Listen for us and I’ll keep updating as we go.
