KARS General Meeting – Monday, February 12, 2018

February 13th, 2018 Comments off

Meeting called to order at 7:30 PM.

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Treasurer’s Report – Raul Ramos: Current balance = $2827.95

“KARS Emergency Communication Plan” presentation by George (KI6G). A review of our current KARS communication plan and discussion around what changes and/or updates are needed. Suggestion was made that, as a club, we need to clarify the scope of what we hope to accomplish with the plan. As many of our members are active in other organizations, such as ARES, CERT, etc., we need to understand that in a time of emergency that those individuals may not be available due to other commitments. A clearer definition of the role that KARS should undertake, in certain emergency situations, should be stated as part of the plan.

The January BOD minutes were read, Tommy (KG5FMA) raised the motion, John (WB5CTH) seconded, and the minutes were approved.

KARS 2018 Officers Election – membership agreed to accept those candidates that were identified on the voting ballot that was previously sent out (via Google Forms). The motion was raised, and seconded, and all candidates were accepted.

There were no new member applications to present at the February meeting.
