KARS General Meeting – Monday, May 14, 2018
Meeting called to order at 7:30 PM.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Treasurer’s Report – Raul Ramos: Current balance = $2958.39
“Antenna Modeling” presentation by Rick Hiller (W5RH). Presentation included a demo of the EZNEC modeling software. The April BOD minutes were read, motion was raised by Bob (WB3EWP), seconded by Mike (KA5OXA), and approved by club members.
A motion was raised, seconded, and approved for the club to purchase the Alpha J-Pole 6-160 Meter end-fed HF antenna. This antenna will be used for various KARS club events. Update: Antenna has arrived and is being stored with the other KARS equipment.
KARS Raffle: Congrats to Charles (W4LXM) for winning this month’s raffle prize – The ARRL Handbook for Radio Communications.
